A little craft, a little fun, a lot of Neapolitan soul. Sourdough Daniska sandwiches in the morning, wood-fired pizza in the evening — right in the heart of Nicosia.

Our story

Our name means crazy flour.

In Italian, farina is flour and matta means crazy. And we are a little crazy about what we do: it all starts with good dough and ends in a wood fire.

  1. Pizza dough being stretched by floured hands on a marble counter

    01 · Dough

    Crisp outside, soft inside.

Our high-protein, strong-gluten flour, developed especially for Neapolitan pizza, is the secret behind that texture. In short: our dough rises, our ego doesn’t.

  2. A pizza baking beside the flames inside a wood-fired oven

    02 · Fire

The heat of a real fire.

The fierce heat of the wood-fired oven — puffing up the crust and giving it those familiar charred spots.

  3. San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, Grana Padano, basil and pesto

    03 · Ingredients

    Italian classics.

San Marzano tomatoes, Grana Padano, handmade pesto… Carefully chosen ingredients in every pizza.

  4. A laughing pizzaiolo tossing pizza dough into the air

    04 · Soul

A little show, a lot of joy.

Why do we toss the dough in the air? Because some flavours deserve a little show.
